In 1994 the Searchers recorded two
Christmas songs, first one's called GOD REST YE MERRY GENTLEMEN (arr.
by McNally/Allen/James, the second is HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS OF ALL
credited to McNally/Allen/James, but written by Frank only. These were the
first studio recordings since Hungry Hearts. And there are no newer studio
recordings published officially and on a leading label BMG (at least in
those days). BMG – 74321 21687 2 Spencer sang lead on both tracks. |
