For all who waited for the new Searchers' single - released on July 2nd, 1965 - it was a real surprise: both sides were Searchers' compositions - credited to Chris & Mike as writers. In fact, the guitar riff of HE'S GOT NO LOVE came from John McNally and Chris & Mike took it and wrote the song. The flip side SO FAR AWAY was written by Chris alone. HE'S GOT NO LOVE is sung by Mike with harmony vocal by Chris. On the b-side Mike sings lead supported by Chris & Frank..
